Morey Sair
Morey Sair is General Counsel at Heartland Generation and is responsible for the leadership of the legal, compliance, and records management functions.
Morey has more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas sector and private practice with a specific focus on mergers and acquisitions, major capital projects, midstream and marketing, joint ventures, and corporate governance.
His experience has focused on providing strategic and legal advice, ensuring the timely execution of various projects and transactions, and has spanned all corporate functions and business disciplines.
After several years in private practice, Morey joined Devon Canada Corporation in 2002. He held roles of increasing responsibility at Devon including Associate General Counsel from 2006 to 2019, also leading the infrastructure and logistics team.
Morey holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta. He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association and the Calgary Bar Association.
